Central processing unit (CPU)

A central processing unit (CPU) : Is the electronic circuitry within a computer that carries out the instructions of a computer program by performing the basic arithmetic, logical, control and input/output (I/O) operations specified by the instructions

but more commonly called processor, the CPU is the brains of the computer where most calculations take place.

An arithmetic logic unit (ALU) is a digital circuit used to perform arithmetic and logic operations. It represents the fundamental building block of the central processing unit (CPU) of a computer. Modern CPUs contain very powerful and complex ALUs.

The control unit (CU) is a component of a computer's central processing unit (CPU) that directs operation of the processor. It tells the computer's memory, arithmetic/logic unit and input and output devices how to respond to a program's instructions.

Memory unit is(MU): the amount of data that can be stored in the storage unit.that in which storage capacity is expressed in terms of Bytes.

A computer memory component or device
four types of memory chips RAM, ROM, CMOS and flash.
